Words are losing their meaning

By: Mona
.......................

Google Buzz

No one asked me why I have not been blogging lately. Exhausted, tired, no life. It’s funny how I used to write over 50 or 60 posts a month at my old job, and now, with this highly demanding job, I work far too much. Now you guys see the difference between the two?

All I hope for in the future that when I am 40 years old, I do not have a job with set human hours!

Anyone in the London Ontario area looking for a university computer science graduate with far too many years of experience? I am willing to switch jobs now, but I demand my job starts at 9 am and does not last for more than 8.5 hours a day!

Please and thank you.

Funny you mention paying me well for this, and I will tell you no. I took this job because I had enough and wanted a job cause I was board of sitting at home. I didn’t even care about the salary. I was like whatever, you just want me to make websites, but since I have been there, somehow their business expanded cuz of one project I did, and now my work is 10 times more! I am doing support phone, chat and even teaching, and it is just too much. My brain is getting fried, and I also have my course online to deal with and get credit for.

Oh well, enough ranting! Ahhh!! And I always have something to say, but blogging time is being killed cause I am just far too exhausted to put words together to form a sentence when I get home. :vangry:

Working can really take its toll…but staying home is too boring! I have yet to find the perfect balance. Actually I want someone to pay me to read all day long. I wish that was an actual job!

I want someone to pay me for just giving them ideas, visions, and solutions. Oh wait, that is my job!! Argh!!

Ok fine, I want a job where I can just write and listen to music. How about that! Hmm… come to think of it, that would be really boring after a day or two. Agh!!

A job where you can write and listen to music? Sounds like the perfect job.

Haha you know what Mona? It is when people like that rear their xenophobic heads that you realise how worse off you could be. Working ungodly hours vs being a narrow minded hateful cyber bully. Hmmm

Can’t you make part of your human need for fewer work hours to your employers? They should understand, by now, that you’re not Irish.

Aahh I think I got it worst than you. I am also a web programmer and my only day off is Sunday. I always overwork because it’s a fast pace companies who don’t follow the life cycle so what ends up happening is I work on atleast 3 projects at the same time because of the poor planning and ambiguous factors. Aaahh fire me I don’t care!!!

It is not the amount of work that slows you down from blogging. It is the amount of frustration and aggravation that does the trick. These are not necessarily job related all the time.

    Hi Girls,
While walking in the city centre, I saw a street performer man acting childishly and about 50-80 people watching. Inside me, I felt he is silly and was wondering why a young healthy man does that until he said:”I hope to get from each of you 5 dollars beside your laugh. I lost my job at a bank last month and now looking… but the truth I like this job more so help me to keep you laughing”. Well, that is an idea don’t you think girls???.
On another point, (you might think I am getting philosophical here) but you all said: I want something if you blah blah.. One wants money to read, other to write, third to comment… No one said I enjoy giving, writing, sharing. Needless to mention the great help Mona is doing by raising these issues for millions of Arab girls following the rules of society, marrying with no love, having children with no education, crying in isolation of unfair treatment.
Come on girls! make a difference and scream high: No to male dominance, girls are humans too….
Oops! I forgot that I am male and father.

@Bellochap You’re absolutely right! I, for one, enjoy sharing what I write; if it makes me friends, great! If it helps a soul on earth, even greater!

Great to see a male and a father have a sense of humor. ;) Go, girls!

    Mona!

I did notice you stopped suddenly. I didn’t want to call you out on it :) . I thought it would be rude. But it is understandable. Writing so frequently can burn you out.

What about helping Mona out and write articles for her JUST to post. That would be better than just asking her to burn herself out for us to read.

Dear Mona, I hope your workload shrinks a bit and you can devote more of your time to your blogging career. It seems like a hectic workload you have to deal with but hey most jobs in this day and age have become challenging and very demanding. We notice when you don’t blog… and your posts always make an impact or raise some kind of question in our minds when we read them… I think it does make us ponder over our thoughts and perceptions of the world surrounding us in this global village. Anyways… fingers crossed it should be holiday time for you once again. P.S. We miss you A LOT.

Hi Mona, I’m a long time lurker first time commenter here. You’re running an interesting blog !

I just wanna tell you to try to take a time for yourself because you seem so stressful (and boy aren’t we all ?). Try to do something for pure fun .. Learn a another language, take a course in an ethnic cuisine,or long walks. Just indulge yourself. You well deserve it.

    Wish you luck :)
