I am a disgrace
By: Mona
.......................
I just woke up and checked my lovely emails, and one was so straight forward and to the point, that I had to post it on my blog.
Actually, I have to post it because I tried to reply to this person, but it seems they misspelled their email or something.
Your Name: zaher
Email: lacoperon@fastpost.net
Website: http://
Message:
I am an Arab, and I think that you are a brainwashed and superficial lady, with no dignity or honor. You are a disgrace to your people and culture. Please go to Hell soon.
He asked me nicely to go to Hell soon. He said Please! All I wanted to reply saying, “See you there soon too!”

WTF? Arab guys are too damn crazy… he should be telling prostitutes in Dubai they have no honor not you!!!
@Incandescent Chimera
I think my words on the internet are a bigger disgrace than prostitution. My words are TELLING THE TRUTH that no one can handle!
I agree with Incandesent, there are many other people he could say that too other than you… funny how people (Not Just Arabs)react when you say things that there often closed minds dont agree with… You call things as they are,or at least how you see them from a realisc & open Minded point of view…
Keep up the good Work…
Salam Alikum wa barakatuhu
@Terry Tuck
Yep.. there are many problems in the world that are a lot worse, and definitely a lot worse within Arab nations that are never addressed or talked about. Yet, it is easier for people to insult me because I am far away and I can never go to their door steps, knock on their doors, and talk to their mothers about their behaviour online.
I checked this guy’s IP address. He has been lurking on my website for several days now. He is from Tartus, Syria. I didn’t know Syrians were so “eloquent” online and can condemn people to the pits of hell with a touch of a magical “send email” button.
He’s probably some unemployed loser who lives at home rejected by several women so he is taking it out the only way he knows how. Hiding behind mommy’s apron.
WOW…. this guy has strong feelings, about what I am not sure. I wonder what is it you have written that provoked such an emotional strong response. Whatever it was please (I can be polite too) keep writing. It is people like him who are a disgrace to ‘Arabs’and our culture. A culture that was built on tolerance. The ones that can not argue a point but revert to outbursts.
Mona, you are never a disgrace, as long as you write what you feel and what you believe in. Sure you rant and whine, who doesn’t, and sometimes I feel like telling you ‘ go to your room’ or shaking you and saying ‘enough, stop it’ but I respect every word you say and mostly I respect you right to say it.
Move on and ignore or as we say in Arabic ‘tanshy’
Have a great weekend.
@Oussama
I am not sure what I said. If I did say something, then I would have had a herd of people attacking me. The only thing I can think of is me talking about Canada and loving my second home. I had someone insult me the other day when I wrote about Canada’s sports victory. One person said they hated me and I am an idiot for loving Canada and not caring about the people of Palestine. I think Arabs hate it that the Arabs outside of their homelands (forced to leave like me) do actually love living outside of the Arab world. Some of us are forced to, and no one else accepted us, especially other Arab nations. So we have to love what we can get and appreciate it.
Ana ma bghdar atanish! If I start ignoring everyone, then there is nothing to talk about. It’s like accepting life for what it is and not pointing out what is wrong and to try to change it.
I just don’t get ppl sometimes…who is he to judge who will go to heaven or hell…grrrr…. glad to see you’re keeping your chin up Mona, enjoy the rest of ur weekend!
@Mona
Sometimes you have to ignore a person and move on, I never meant you should ignore people all the times. I agree with you that we should be grateful to our adopted countries for all the opportunities they have provided for us. That gratitude will never replace our love for our original homeland or our culture.
”He’s probably some unemployed loser who lives at home” . Many men that think similar to the man above that have very high incomes and are in no way mummies boys. I would suggest that zaher stops reading sites like these that might disrupt his sense of security and find a housewife from a village in Syria. Zaher, there are lots and lots of muslim women all over the world that would fit youre description of dignity and honor. Good luck!
How do you manage to get these emails. I’ve never received such vitriolic emails, it just isn’t fair
Keep up the good work, Mona
@Meyrick Kirby
I’ve never received such vitriolic emails, it just isn’t fair
I used to get them pretty often, mostly from crazy Europeans who could barely speak English. I don’t miss that at all, and you should consider yourself lucky Meyrick. It’s no fun to have people harassing you via email.
@ Mais
I only said that cause Syria is known for high unemployment
But you are right men of every economic class can think like that.
I really did get under your skin didn’t I?!
@Meyrick Kirby
I really did get under your skin didn’t I?!
Hmmmm? You and I have never exchanged emails as far as I know! I haven’t put my email out in the public view in ages
@Meyrick Kirby
I don’t know.. I got a whimsical essence on the inter-web!
Thanks for posting his email address for us.
Nobody messes with our Mona… except for maybe us
Its ok thanks for the clarification Dina.
@Desert Shark
The email didn’t work. That’s why I posted it on my blog. If his email did work, I wouldn’t have done this.
Forget what I said before, I missed the part where you said you already emailed that person. I tried it also, it doesn’t work.
But if that guy is reading these comments, you have no right to judge. Apparently you’ve made quick judgments without looking into the facts. So on behalf of us all, go to hell.
hhhhh it so funny,Tepycal thinking most of them thinks that must of us,women should go to the hell hhh.
*Typical
No, honey, you are not. Just don’t mind him. Just keep moving up high, with your head held up high and keep on smiling always. Okay
? Good
.
@fatema kareem
yeppers.. typical!!
@Shirley
Yep Good!
It is really sad that many Arabs still has low regard for women. They still treat them as properties and when Arab women fails to adheres to uber strict rules, they get punished whereas if Arab men did something wrong, they can easily get away with it.
I feel sorry to you that you got such a email from IDIOT guy ! Please send him that sentence ! Its better! or he used that words to be get attention to post like this way !? > < Anyway,,,, I hate those unrespectful guy so much too ! :vangry:
At least he was polite.
Hey all! Happy Monday to everyone!
Yep it’s the return of the incognito Palestinian Warrior Princess…Mona 7abibti keefik!! First of all to the person that said “Arab guys are too damn crazy”…that’s racism/stereotyping if i’ve ever heard it!! You should choose your words a bit more careful…anyhoo… Mona you’re not the type of person to give a crap of what people say or think and i think you handled him quite nicely. It’s my opinion the world needs more Muslim girls like you and me for that matter! Our opinions don’t make us any less Islamic or Muslim thank you very much!! Go talk about the “arabs and muslims” that have turned a blind eye to Palestine and her people….my people!, my homeland, my soul, my heart!!!
I think Mona did not deserve what this guy said.
But what if Arab guys want a submissive illiterate from the village? Historically, usually only men at the very top of the food chain that are secure in themselves are able to deal with a woman that equal to, or more beautiful/intelligent/wealthy than them.
If he/she dared to leave a comment like this, then he/she should be courageous enough to leave a correct contact.
One thing – why do you guys and girls assume that it is a man that has written the mail and thereby run your mouths on men/arab men? Bc he/she has written Zaher as fake name? I am sure that most would fly off the wall if a white non-arab American followed the same route. Why the hypocrisy?
The problem with all of us including ME (yes me) are, we never think positively with some one we encounter with. (Criticism) I mean why don’t we think the reason behind the angry reaction of that guy Zaher .why he got angry with Mona?..
If Mona defends her rebellious comments as true, why don’t we think zahers comments are rebellious to Mona?.
We always see the negative side of the situation even though the reaction was positive to our attitude.
It happens to Mona, Zaher, Me or everybody who commented on this post.
If You want proof, you all just go through with your comments and analyze yourself how much you reacted positively?. Each and everyone commented on this post were really not positive enough to take his negative side of the comment to correct ourselves..
i am expecting attacks and bombardments from all corner (hahaha) of the negative minds…god bless to all..
and be positive
.think POSITIVELY..
