Israel v.s the World? I think that the world does see what Israel is doing & that they disagree with it. I just wish that they would put more effort into actually doing something about it! No matter how much Israel tries to defend itself & try to justify what it did just recently, it will still be wrong & will always be wrong. That’s all I have to say for now…

6) We are the only reason to attack (destroyed by USA) Iraq and kill millions of innocent children and innocent people of one of the wealthiest and prosperous countries of the world, using our puppet Bush to deceive the world by our deceptive propaganda and slogan in western media, saying Iraq had weapons of mass destruction which proved to be the biggest deception of all time, still the world can do nothing against us. Who has the guts to contest against us in world court?, we are above world court.
7) We are the only power on earth that stole the land of Palestine before 60 years, also refusing to adopt all UNO resolutions and still expanding and settling with unauthorized foreigners pretending to be Jews and trying to stay put on the theft land for ever.
8) We know flotilla convoy was a humanitarian ship, bringing shelter, medicine and food but with our highly trained liars has the brain to make the stupid world to believe us that flotilla convoy was a terrorist mission.
9) We are the brain child of USA that has thousands of nuclear weapons along with our more than 450 atomic war heads which is capable of destroying whole Middle East in no time if they appose us.

What does all that have to do with Turkey or the Axis of Evil?
The Palestine-Israel conflict will never be resolved. In the post cold-war order, with most states following a liberal and/or democratic political system, the Middle East poses probably the most significant resistance to the US. With its core instutions influenced by religious (Islamic) doctrines and important resources. Israel therefore functions not only as a home state for Jews but also a strategic and military ally. The Palestine Israel conflict will be resolved only when there is no longer a need for a strategic and military, among others, ally, in this region. My thoughts go out to the innocent Palestinians who have been living in terror for over 6 decades, however I do not think that resistance organizations like Hamas have the best interest of palestinian people. I do not know exactly what is going on but I hope to go there someday, soon, and do some research, because whats going on is inhumane and in breach of international law. Continuously violating international laws and not respecting any kind of human rights is not what the worlds largest/most powerful states should be supporting, for their own sake.

Arab-Israelis are outcasts in both the Arab world and in Israel itself. Zionism is a racist ideology which discriminates, therefore, Arab-Jews are treated very badly in Israel by Jews of European and other ancestry. In Iraq, my grandmother had Jewish friends who migrated to Israel because of the lack of rights the received in Iraq and in order to seek a better life with more opportunities, which the State of Israel promised to give them. In general people (Arab Muslims & Christians) overlooked their good qualities, such as honesty and fair trade (which some Muslims lacked). If they are treated badly both in Israel and the Arab world, they would be outcasts, but since they belong to both worlds, then their position is very important to us. My mother said, even though Muslims and Jews lived together in peace when Israel was established and even before that, they were never completely trusted by Muslims. For instance, you could never invite a Jew over for lunch and expect to see them eat your food (they always had mistrust towards Muslims) and Muslims never trusted them. If you asked for the address of a Jewish person, no one would tell you, because they think you have an intention to kill them…etc. I saw an Article in the Guardian newspaper, of an Arab-Israeli protesting against Israel’s position against the Flotilla for Gaza, he was dragged on his feet and treated badly by the Israeli police. Since Arab-Israelis belong to both the Arab world and Israel, I am unsure of their position regarding the conflict in the Middle East.

Arab Jews are also very nice people. They never rip you off, they refund your money if you are unhappy with their good or service. Yet its very sad to see them ‘demonised’ or stereotyped as ‘pure evil’ by their fellow Arab Muslims and Christians.
Mo, They are nice people one of my familys best friends are Iraqi Jews who identify themselves as Arab and proud to be so. We have them over often, when we lived in Europe they helped us a lot and we are very thankful to them for that. Lovely humble people I have only good things to say about them.

Israel has manipulated the United Nations and is above their laws. Everyone is aware of the world’s double standards for Israel and Palestine. Two sets of laws one for the inferior (Palestine) and superior (Israel). The world gets worked up to try and push Israel to stop its injustice, once it stops or a new development occurs it goes around in a vicious circle again. Very sad, why can’t they just keep fighting off Israel til Israel disappears… I guess its easier said than done.

I disagree with you, Sarah. Israel is held to MUCH higher standards than any Muslim country is.
And since we’re talking about Turkey here… can you even imagine a world where a nation with a history of genocide such as Turkey gets to accuse Israel of human rights violations? If the Israelis behaved with Palestinians the way Turks have behaved with their ethnic/religious minorities, there wouldn’t be any Palestinians in Israel today. And not only that, nobody would even be able to talk it.

They have been responsible for organ trafficking of Palestinian people which Turkey did not even do to Armenians or Kurds, and Turkey exposed through their films and soap operas about Israelis and Americans doing so in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. Organ trafficking and commodification of dead bodies is a violation to the concept of respecting those who die, which shows Israel has no morality. Well, even if all that were true (which I’m pretty sure it isn’t) then isn’t the counter-argument that all the suicide bombings, hostage taking, and other crimes against the innocent, plus all the beheading videos, the human trafficking that is rampant in the ME (and in Turkey!), the fact that in many countries in the ME people are not free to practice their own religion, that women’s rights are non-existent, and so on and so forth… doesn’t that show Muslim’s “have no morality”?

I noticed I contradicted myself before in the last comment. Allah gave Canaan/Palestine/Israel or whatever people choose to call it to the Muslims. Zionists still live in the stone age where they feel they are still God’s chosen people. As long as Zionists/Israelis are still stuck with that ideology then peace will not be achieved. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with Jews or Israelis, but what concerns me is killing the name of fulfilling an outdated prophecy which stands above the laws of the United Nations. Like America justified its killing of indigenous native Americans, Israel does the same with Palestinians, though one can wonder, whether it is possible or not to exterminate an entire race or not. Israel is only still alive because our cold-blooded Arab leaders are allowing it to survive and the Western world keeping ‘feeding the disease’. I would like to apologise to any Israelis who are Pro-Palestinian though, I have no intention of demonising anyone. You know, I don’t really know what to say when you seem to be advocating genocide and at the same time accusing Israel of misconduct. I think there are very few good, fair, balanced resources out there for a person to really learn about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, for some reason, people take it upon themselves to give opinions on the conflict without even having all of the information or even ignoring facts about the conflict.
Most people have very polarized viewpoints about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Some say the Palestinians should just be kicked out of Israel and the West bank and sent to Jordan/Saudi Arabia/Syria or wherever, even if they have Israeli citizenship. Some say Israel should be wiped off the map. It is unfortunate that people have these thoughts in mind.
Here is one view that many have. The following is especially true of the viewpoint that conservatives and republicans here in the US have: Either you support Israel in all things, no matter what they do, right or wrong, good or bad, they can do whatever they want whenever they want; or, if you do not support every single action Israel takes, then somehow, for some reason, you will be accused of not supporting the existence of israel and you sympathize with extremists and terrorists.
On the other side of that, there are some among the Arabs who think that Palestinians will be helped only if some violent action is taken, and if you do not support violent action then you are somehow for the oppression of Palestinians.
Both types of thinking are incorrect and illogical.
Very few people actually sit down and learn about the conflict. If they did, then less people would have these viewpoints.

Which countries in the ME do you believe uphold international law better? Either in terms of how they wage war, or on human and civil rights grounds? Or honoring international treaties they are signatory to? Sure they have. The settlements are a violation of the Geneva conventions, for instance. I also recall an incident where an IDF soldier shot an unarmed Palestinian in the leg while he was on the ground a couple years back, which is a war crime. I could come up with quite a few violations.
But I can’t chalk anything up to Israel that compares to the violations that happen routinely in Arab countries. So if there’s a double standard – and I believe there is – who is the beneficiary of that double standard? Arabs or Israelis? It seems pretty clear to me.
