She is starting to know the ways

It’s funny hearing my mom talk about technology, especially when she has no idea what some things mean!! However, she knows the purpose of it and that the wide majority of Arabs are using it. Oh.. the Arabs are using it, the Arabs are using it!!!

My dad, “I was browsing through Facebook today (He doesn’t have an account, just public search), and I found so many from our family!”

I said, “Yah!! And they add me!!”

Dad said, “Some are not related to us, but I think it is the Lebanese Christians that have the same last name as us.”

I said, “Yep!! I know!!”

Out of no where mom said, “You know, even with these popular sites, it is hard for Arab countries to ban people from going to them.”

I said, “Yep!! They found ways around it..”

Mom excitedly said, “Yes yes! I was reading an article online (in Arabic sites) that many people are using something to go around it..”

I said, “You mean they are using proxy servers?”

Mom screamed out of joy saying, “YES THAT’S THE WORD!!! PROXY!! THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE USING!!”

I said, “You know what a proxy is? Great!”

Mom said, “No, but that’s what they are using and it works.”

In my head, “Yah.. and annoying people that I keep banning from my blog keep using them!” They love me so much to go such long ways for their reading enjoyment! Joys!
