HYBRIDS is a dynamic new exhibition featuring two younger multimedia artists—Khalid Hussein and Noah Haytin—whose work explores power, identity and American and Middle Eastern ideologies. Both Hussein and Haytin express their creativity in strong colors and layered textures. What if Francis Bacon were an Arab? Or Chagall a Moroccan? HYBRIDS will open at the Inside/Outside Gallery (Levantine Cultural Center), 6-10 pm, 5998 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90035, on January 28th, 2011. The two-man show runs through February 28, 2011.

This is part three of the year end manifestation of the life of my blog.

My blog this year won so many awards, that I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count them! NOT!! (Didn’t I sound cheesy and dorky like the rest of the bloggers out there?) But yes, my blog won a lot of invisible mind boggling awards. I won people’s readerships. That’s the biggest award I can get as a blogger. I don’t care about best blog, or best writer, or best anything. Who cares? It’s like winning a virtual banner to advertise someone else’s bright idea that started the campaign.

Really, if the prize was money based, then people will be all over it! I would be so all over it!

So, I am gonna list the top blog posts this year by comments, my favorites, and ones that I should have never published, but found their way online cause of my insomnia or excessive amounts of coffee!

Advertising, Blah Blah, Blog Review, They said what?

Some people on Twitter asked me what in the world I am laughing at, and what is this site that made me fall on the floor laughing. The title of the site is enough to make anyone laugh. If you read a website’s title such as Crotchety Old Man Yells At Cars, then heck, you are in for a laugh and a half!

I can’t believe I spent over an hour on a website that wouldn’t stop cracking me up. The stories are hilarious. Who said old people are not funny? I am not sure if the guy is as old and crotchety as he says, but anyone who can make a simple pointless story beyond funny, and a must read, is on my A list of daily blog subscriptions. I need sarcastic sense of humour in my life, no? I really do need it since I spend half the day doing nothing productive. At least now I got a good humour site to follow.

COMYAC, is how I am gonna abbreviate the site from now on, and he may not like it, but do I care? He is not a normal guy as he claims to be, and a bit, how do I say this, a master of sarcastic exaggerations. For example, he starts off some of his posts saying, “The staff at Crotchety Old Man World Wide Headquarters and Discount House of Worship …” When I read that, I cracked up, and I had to continue reading the rest of the post.

The best part of his site is that he reiterates old posts that he likes. The posts are hilarious! Seriously, how many of you can make a hospital stay a comedic point in your life? Or remembering your old highschool days as a nobody, but then claiming that you were one of the most popular guys, just because?

I wish I can make my stories more interesting by exaggerating a bit, which I sort of do now. However, I got to work on it some more, and I am going to get some comedic tips from COMYAC. I think you should too! Isn’t laughter great and attractive! :kiss:
