“It’s not our fault she was pretty and wore mini-skirts,” he said.
Last night, my dad and I were watching a show on TV, and it showed a clip with a very attractive University female professor. My dad likes to comment when he watches ANY show, and throw in some obscure story from the past, or his interpretation of the situation. However, sometimes, well maybe all the time, I really don’t want to know.
My dad graduated from the American University of Beirut back in the early 1970′s. Therefore, he has some pretty interesting stories.
He said, “When I took Quantum Mechanics in 3rd year University, we had a professor, and she was the wife of the president of the University. She was so pretty and smart. She wore mini-skirts to class, and she was very short too and barely reached the black board.”
I gave a dissatisfied look and said, “Aha? And?”
My dad said, “Well, people on the first row had a great time!”
I said, “OK! She didn’t care?”
He said, “Well, she knew, but what can she do? She was short!”
I said with an unenthusiastic tone on my voice, “Maybe she should not wear mini-skirts?”
My dad said giggling, “It was the 1970′s. It was the style!”
I then thought to my self that I never had an attractive Computer Science professor before. Maybe that’s why I never cared about classes. However, one math class had a CUTE teacher’s assistant. Oh well..
The moral of this story, my dad is a bit crazy, and the whole department of Computer Science needs more attractive people.
Blah Blah, Funny, Random Thoughts, They said what?, Whatever!
