My taste of Music

I am continuing with the tradition of defining words in my own personal Arabic way. So I picked a simple word, change.

Change: (verb) The action of telling someone to think outside of the box. However, for some, cultural or traditional upbringing won’t allow them.

Change: (noun) When someone ends up doing or thinking of something different than what they are used to, and are freed from the tiny bubble that they lived in.

What is your definition of change?

I got my inspiration from this awesome song I heard last night, and it is stuck on repeat. Love it! The words are purely amazing.

Which was yesterday, but I think I slept through it.

I am currently browsing through good old awesome YouTube, and I landed on some songs I have not heard since early highschool. Grade 9, or 10. In grade 9 I was 13.5 years old! 13.5!! I then thought to my self, this is not a way to reminiscent the past, because I will start counting days and years, and realize that I am way older than I thought.

The other day, my dad was saying to me, “oh we can’t wait till you get married!” My mom disappointingly replied, “Why? She is still young!” My eyes popped out of my head the moment my mother uttered those word: “SHE IS STILL YOUNG!” I think my mom had too much mixed caffeinated drinks, if you know what I mean.

However, what can I say, I lived through the 90’s, and I know some of my readers were friggen toddlers at the time, but mid 90’s music had a certain appeal to it. It is a lot better than what is aired today. Oh, 90’s music. It brought back many memories.

I feel like dancing. Who wants to rock it out with me? I am bored. I have no friends to hang out with.

Britney.. I am not your fan, but this song is not so bad. Because I believe that life is a circus, and I rather be the ring leader.

Cyndi Lauper was an icon in the 80’s and for all this new generation’s crazy attire. Hmm, so she has a new Album that will contain mashups from her old songs. Awesome! You know I have an obsession with all retro songs, especially Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
