This is part three of the year end manifestation of the life of my blog.

My blog this year won so many awards, that I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count them! NOT!! (Didn’t I sound cheesy and dorky like the rest of the bloggers out there?) But yes, my blog won a lot of invisible mind boggling awards. I won people’s readerships. That’s the biggest award I can get as a blogger. I don’t care about best blog, or best writer, or best anything. Who cares? It’s like winning a virtual banner to advertise someone else’s bright idea that started the campaign.

Really, if the prize was money based, then people will be all over it! I would be so all over it!

So, I am gonna list the top blog posts this year by comments, my favorites, and ones that I should have never published, but found their way online cause of my insomnia or excessive amounts of coffee!

I had a freaken weird ass dream last night people. I don’t even know where to begin. I remember it so vividly because it was about my turtle Squibby. All of you know Squibby; my pride possession and life companion. He watches over my home office, and keeps it noisy and alive half the day. He won’t stop moving in his tank, and he loves to jump off his rock and make heart stopping splash noises. He pretty much keeps me awake in this boring life.

So, I dreamt we were traveling or moving. I cannot remember, but it seems we had so much furniture around, and we had it set up in a moving home. Like those travel big homes that you drive and sleep in, or we just call them RVs. Anyways, as we were getting setup to go, Squibby was all over the place. He would hide under couches, and walk up and down stairs. Which is impossible, but it was only a dream. So, he kept doing that all day, and I kept a watch him and making sure he doesn’t do anything stupid.

My turtle walks fast. I guess those tiny reptiles can quickly maneuver, and are not so slow as everyone stereotypes a turtle would be. I kept a watch, but then I had to go do something, because I kept being yelled at by the parents to do it now! I left, but it was for too long.

I went back looking for Squibby, and I couldn’t find him. I searched and I searched, and I went from room to room to look for him. Then, after few minutes it seemed, I heard a scream. I went to the source of the sound, and I saw Squibby running so fast from under a couch, and was bleeding from the neck. I couldn’t catch him, and had to run after him. It seems that a wire from under an old couch has cut him.

Finally, I was able to catch him, and a river of blood covered my hand. Can you imagine that much blood from a tiny thing?

I didn’t know how to stop the bleeding, so I did it the old school non veterinarian way that I know. I cleaned off the blood from him under a tap, and then took a band aid and wrapped it around his neck, and … … … I woke up.

I have been up since 3:00 am.

Maybe I am the only person right now who wants this year to end now now now! This I can tell you has been the worst year ever. It was crazy. It was an emotional roller coaster, and the end of many life changing events.

And end of an era. HE wouldn’t leave me alone. He just wanted to ruin my end of year celebration. Which is sitting down doing nothing and enjoying peace of mind. But no! He has to always ruin everything that I enjoy!

I didn’t know this was a touchy subject. Oh wait, religion is always a touchy subject. You can say I ended my blog year with a bang from this post. People are either open minded and open to discussion, or they have two and a half brain cells.

My final words of wisdom for 2008

Leave me alone people! Holy crap you drove me insane! Next year, stop bugging me. When I talk about the most controversial issues, don’t write crap. Only this year I enabled moderation for comments, because I don’t want other human beings to see how idiotic you are. Also, is insulting a person you don’t know and may never meet in this life time, make you seem to have a bit more power? A bit more say? Really, it does not. It just makes you stupid. So grow up!

On a positive note, I don’t have a new years resolution. All I do in the end of the year is to pray to God it is not as bad as the previous. Also, I want to maybe have a bit of change in my life. I want to do new things. I think 2009 will be just fine. I feel the positiveness coming out of it already. Amen!

I have three mutant (not pure breed) goldfish. They are sick. Either their tails are red in colour with blood veins popping out, floating upside down, or laying at the bottom of the tank breathing heavily. You might think now that I am a bad pet owner. On the contrary, I am not a veterinarian, and I have no clue what else I can do to save them. I tried all the tricks in the book. I looked up solutions on the internet. I also talked to dumb asses that work at pet stores that claim they know fish life cycle and common diseases from the back of their heads. However, they know nothing, and I stopped caring.

My mom asks me every time she sees me feeding them, “Are those fish going to die already?” I tell her, “No clue. They are over 4 or 5 years old. I think they are too old to die that easily. I think they need more than a disease to kill them.” Obviously I am not going to kill them. It’s not my place. I just don’t want to feel guilty and the reason for their death. Let God decide that. I will just do the minimal supervision of keeping them full. They eat normally. Which surprises the hell out of me.

Since my pet goldfishes remind me of death every time I look at them, I just turn my attention to the one and only Squibby. He is a mighty fine turtle. A bit dirty though, but he has a fun personality. I like to set him out to walk around, and watch him hide from me in various corners of the room. He sounds like a poor soul, doesn’t he?

WRONG! these pictures are worth my finger that he almost bit a chunk off yesterday. He might be cute, but DAMN violent. Why every time I get a pet, they end up sick or violent!? Is it the water? Or is it just me?

I LOVE snow! However, I don’t like walking in it, or driving in it. We had a mini snow storm this morning, and the snow was really heavy. It is the type of snow that makes the trees weep, and its trunks fall off. Yes, many trees died this morning and it was not due to human negligence. I think I will over use paper now and write an offsite diary since trees suddenly became available in high quantities. Or better yet, how about if I print every post in my blog and keep it as hard evidence of my disturbing thoughts if the internet ever died out? Hmm. I think some environmental advocate would be very angry with me right now and about to give me a very long boring lecture on saving the planet. You want to know how to save the planet? Get rid of humans!

Anyways, I take many pics, and I never share them with the world. Why? No clue. Maybe I am just pure selfish and imagery is not as vivid as writing about it. However, today is your lucky day and I am going to share some pictures.

This picture was taken of my backyard two weeks ago. The leaves are barely turning yellow at that point, but you can feel the coldness is about to come and bite you in the ass sooner or later.

This picture was taken of my backyard this morning while the snow storm was bestowing its presence above my city. Look how gorgeous the snow is, and heavy too that the tree trunks are barely staying up.

I threw this picture for a flavour since I don’t talk or take pictures of Squibby that much anymore. Since my house is cold, and I mean cold because “the authority” is like the city who think it is too early to care about the presence of snow and coldness, and believe it is just temporary. So I leave the lamp on 24/7 for Squibby to stay warm. He enjoys it a lot. I wonder where I can get a lamp big enough for me to stay warm? I demand it is at least 40 watts!

At last, I cleaned Squibby’s tank last night and put him upstairs in my office. I couldn’t believe how much algae there was. Now he is happy in his new clean spot, and I can watch him and play with the little guy. I got him to carry some toys on his back, and walk around with them for a few seconds. He was pissed at the end of it all and almost bit me.

I decided today after I got so sick of hearing about moving again at work to bring Squibby my turtle home. We have to move again at work to another room. I guess they got us a bigger room than we used to have originally, but again, no windows. I was pissed because it is in the farthest away nastiest place. It is near the building’s garbage disposal area with signs saying, “keep door closed!” I was like what the fuck! I feel like I am trash. We are trash and we are treated like one with all this crap. Not only that, the room has an extension and we have to share it with grad students??? And people wonder why I hate this job so much for sitting and doing nothing and getting paid for it. It’s a horrible environment!

I just told my dad and bro about it. My dad said, “3am bey7awlo yitafshookom be ay taree2a?” Meaning: (Are they trying to get you so bored to death in any way possible?)

I said, “YEP!”

He said, “don’t worry. Be patient and God is there.”

Oh I have been patient. So patient to the point I want to take my arm and bite it from my patience! I want it to see it bleed so I will feel physical pain instead of the emotional catastrophic pain I have been suffering. Fuck this job. It really has sucked the life out of me that I am willing to take anything right now. I don’t care if it pays less, as long as I fucking leave! 6 years of experience is shit to people! I am willing to start all over than stay at this job that is deteriorating every cell in my brain and sucking my soul!

Today before I had a freak out like I always do, I saw Squibby’s head up high, and his claws upwards. I had to take a shot. He will always be awesome.

And he will always be the king of the rock.

Or he will eat you!

A grad student just came by and brought him back for me!! He saw the signs and brought him back after two days of taking care of him! YAAAY!! :whee:
