Fifth day down, twenty-five to go

Today was such an awful sleepless day. I went to sleep at 10:30 last night and woke up at 2:00 am, and I couldn’t go back to sleep. My sleep patterns have been disturbed tragically. I went to class today and I was so tired that I wasn’t paying attention. Then in the end of class he asked a bunch of stupid questions to each person and got to me and asked me. I replied quickly and correctly. He was dumbfounded and just kept saying, “very good, that’s really good, wow.” I am like wtf. Seriously, software requirements is a joke, but I think he wants us to do a presentation this week or next. I wasn’t clear on the instructions cause I was dead tired. I am good at talking about software and coming up with great ideas.

He said “30 minute presentation, you will be the executive, and the rest of the class (6 ppl) will be your employees. Blah blah.” Great, I feel like being at work already, but this time, I was virtually given a management position where I get to ask the pawns some questions about the details of the software I want to build!

Other than that, the rest of the day has been quiet. I was debugging the software I made, (didn’t I say I suck at debugging and I should just be a manager and order people around?) ANY WHO, I found unexplainable bugs. I need to step through my code 3 of 4 levels down to figure it out. Till now I am puzzled of what I have done. I will figure it out tomorrow.

Today’s food was great! It was very delicious! I like it when mom makes vegetables. It is better and I don’t feel stuffed and wanting to vomit all over my sister’s room!

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war

I found this photo while reading through my rss feeds. What do you think? Caesar is compared to Bush? I think Bush is trying too hard to be like Caesar.

Fourth day down, twenty-six to go

Today was just another day for me. My mom wanted to go to the mall this morning to grab some stuff and I said, “oh oh.. can I come too!!” So I went with her and she wanted to grab some groceries. I told her I want cerial for breakfast. I am tired of eating sandwiches. I really don’t like eating sandwiches that early in the day.

As the day progressed I spent it reading books and browsing the net. As I was reading in my bed, I fell asleep. It seems that I always fall asleep around 5:00 pm and wake up at 6:00 pm. My late afternoon nap. Hehe.

Although it was a fairly cold day today, my brother decided to bbq anyways. We are bbq family. We love it so much that my dad and brother built a bbq in the backyard. Hehe. I like bbq my self. So we had bbq chicken, burgers, and hot dogs. It was good and I am so full that I felt so sick.

I am watching the Emmy’s now and I just keeping Sopranos and Grey’s Anatomy actors/actresses winning. Oh well!

Blah Blah, Random Thoughts, Sleepy Post

Things have become too dramatic

I was talking to a friend yesterday, and she was acting oddly strange and moody. I said, “what’s wrong?” She said, “my mom wants me to be someone I am not, I am almost 26 years old, all the attention goes to my younger sister who is engaged. I just can’t stand anything anymore.”

I was like wow. In my family, if I had a younger sister, well I do, but she is 14.5 years younger than me, so no way she will be married before me, but having a sister who is 3 or 4 years younger and getting engaged and probably married before you is not a good thing.

I asked, “what can you do to please your mom?” She said, “my mom thinks I am just a devil and I need to be closer to God and just pray and be good and put hijab, blah blah.” I said, “wow, what’s wrong with religion?” She said, “I prayed day and night, my life just got worse, where has it gotten me life?” I didn’t know what to say, so I wanted to be logical and said, “we are all born with a certain destiny, our life is set, religion is just our guide for morals and ethics and making us good people, but everything about us is set and done since the moment we are born.”

She said, “well my life is just bad and everyone ignores me. I can be sitting in my room all day and no one asks for me and sees if anything is wrong with me. Nothing.”

Wow.. I thought to my self poor girl. In my house everything is so different. My dad or mom keeps asking where we are and how we are doing. My mom keeps coming upstairs and asks how am and how is work and life. My mom can be too much of a mom and drives me out of my mind, but never ever neglected me or ignored me. She just drives me nutz! It gives me something to talk about.

I then told my friend, “are you just afraid to not get married soon?” She became a stubborn Capricorn her self and said, ” I will be alone forever!” I told her, “you know what, I am 26 almost 27, I have a job, I am older and wiser, so I have a better selection of guys to choose from (if I felt like liking a guy ever again), a guy who is A LOT better than me and wants me because I am educated and not a lazy girl who has an education to work at the mall or desk job.” She said, “meh, whatever, I will be alone forever, that’s my destiny. I would rather shoot my self now and no one would care.”

How can you reply to a manic depressed bi-polar Arab girl? I just gave up and told her to do what she likes.   It was just too much drama for me to deal with at night.
